Balık kılçığı ve kürdan gibi keskin cisimler gastrointestinal duvarı aşarak göç edebilir; organik materyaller düşük dansiteli olduğundan BT’de doğrudan seçilemeyebilir ve tanı gecikebilir. Tanı için cismin yönünü ve ucunun gastrointestinal duvarı geçip geçmediğini, yakınındaki fokal inflamasyonla eşleştirmek gerekir. Portal kontrastlı görüntüler apse ve çevre doku reaksiyonunu, ince kesit ve kemik penceresi ise kalsifiye cismi ortaya koyabilir. Perforasyon gecikirse lokal apse, fistül, obstrüksiyon veya komşu damar/solid organ yaralanması gözden kaçabilir.

BT bulguları

Normalde
Karşılaştırma için sağlıklı segmentsinde çevresel yağ kirlenmesi, duvar kalınlaşması veya ekstraluminal gaz bulunmaz; bulgular yalnızca penetrasyon bölgesine merkezlenir. Şüpheli penetrasyon seviyesini komşu sağlam segmentle kıyaslayıp lineer cismin lümen-duvar-dış doku boyunca kesintisiz yönünü ve fokal reaksiyonun aynı noktaya merkezlenmesini doğrula.
Normal BT ile kıyasla
Aynı bölgenin, kaynak veri setinde patoloji içermediği belirtilen bir BT incelemesini kesit kesit kaydırın; organ sınırlarını açarak anatomiyi hasta görüntüsüyle karşılaştırın. Küçük rastlantısal bulgular tümüyle dışlanmamıştır.
